Hi Cassie, tell us a bit about yourself?
Aside from theatre, I love to travel and I am interested in different cultures. I love to sing, dance, bake, garden, knit and write. I also enjoy films and documentaries.
What does your role at Storyhouse entail?
I am a Creative Learning Practitioner, but my main role is looking after the youth theatre here at Storyhouse, preparing and leading workshops for ages 5 to 13 years old. However, I sometimes lead workshops for local schools.
What is your favourite thing about working at Storyhouse?
Definitely the people. I enjoy working with a large integrated team with a range of skills and interests and interacting with members of the community: from working with our youth theatre members in sessions to passing pleasantries with staff and visitors in the lift.
What is your favourite project that you’ve worked on?
I really enjoyed creating our summer performance with the youth theatre groups last year, but I also enjoy all sessions and seeing the development of the young people our team works with every day. I feel very lucky to be apart of Storyhouse and the work we do here.
