We asked you to donate when buying your tickets for Grosvenor Park this summer and once again, we have been overwhelmed by the response from our loyal community.
This summer all donations that we receive from our outdoor season, will go towards Young Storyhouse.
Young Storyhouse is a collective of groups for young people, aged 5-25, at Storyhouse that meet for regular sessions to provide young people with real-life experience in the arts and libraries, as well as supporting them in gaining new skills, building friendships, and achieving qualifications.
We run an extensive and diverse programme of activity for young people, this focuses on creativity, including Young Leaders Programme, working with NEET young people aged 16-25 to train and experience working in the cultural sector, Young Company, programme for those interested in performance and production and Young Programmers, enabling young people to get real life experience of programming.
All the programmes are designed to improve the confidence, team building and communication skills of young people and help to improve their access to employment, particularly in the cultural sector.
We want to continue to provide quality opportunities for young people who may traditionally experience barriers to accessing art and culture. Over the last 5 years, with your help, we have supported over 800 young people and in the coming 18 months we hope to expand our provision across the borough to support more young people than ever before. We cannot do this without your help.
As a charity, Storyhouse relies on the support of individuals, companies, and charitable trusts to provide opportunities for young people across the city. To find out about becoming a regular giver go to storyhouse.com/support
