If you are aged 14-25 and are looking to gain an insight in to a marketing department in a busy creative organisation then Young Marketers is for you.
As a Young Marketer you will receive mentoring to develop key arts marketing skills. Working with our marketing team you will gain practical opportunities creating and designing content and marketing events at Storyhouse.
The programme runs September – July. Recruitment starts in August.
What do young marketers do?
Young marketers meet weekly on Wednesdays 5.30-7pm. You will meet our marketing team and gain an understanding of their roles. Throughout the programme you will attend masterclasses delivered by the team, where you will learn and develop new skills and be set tasks to put your skills to practical experiences.
Each masterclass has a specific focus; you will develop your knowledge in areas such as social media marketing, audience insight, PR and much much more!
As a young marketer you will have the opportunity to create, design and action your own marketing campaigns, create digital content for Storyhouse’s social media, create online and multimedia content and influence the way we reach young audiences.
By the end of the programme you will have created a lovely portfolio of examples of your work and influence.
“Marketing is such an exciting and creative industry that is constantly changing, from the latest social media platform, to brand new ways to involve our audience. The Young Marketers are a brilliant extension to the marketing team, helping us keep ahead of the latest trends for under 26s, and creating campaigns and content. As well as leading the marketing campaigns for Young Company productions, we have worked with this team to make trailers for touring shows such as Avenue Q and to deliver citywide competitions. They are also a crucial voice in a major project exploring how we take the Storyhouse brand identity forward.” Jen Chapman, Head of Marketing and Sales, Storyhouse.
