Young Photographers is a completely free series of sessions delivered by an MA student from Chester University.
Who is it for?
If you are aged 14-17, interested in photography and looking to expand your photography skills then Young Photographers is for you. It is completely free. The Young Photographers can attend on their own and do not need to be supervised by a parent/guardian, but a parent/guardian is welcome to sit in on the session if they wish.
What will it involve?
Young Photographers will meet weekly. Over six weeks of interactive, hands-on workshops delivered by a photographer (Dylan, an MA Student at University of Chester) you will explore a hands-on approach to photography and receive guidance in developing key skills in modern photography. Each workshop will have a specific focus. We will talk through the principles of photography, approach, light and more. By the end of the programme, you will have a small portfolio.
When is it?
The programme is running every Tuesday from 5.30pm-7pm starting from from Tuesday 3 March through until Tuesday 7 April. You don’t need to attend every session but please try to attend all that you can!
What do I need?
A DSLR camera is not required, but could be helpful. Some of the work that you will create will be done outside of these set sessions. If possible, please bring your phone if it has a camera. Otherwise, equipment will be provided.
