Young Takeover – call out for performers

Are you aged 14-25 with a talent to share? Do you love performing and want a platform to present it?

This year Young Takeover (part of Young Storyhouse) are taking over part of Moonlight Flicks open air cinema to host a series of warm-up acts before select screenings at Deans Field, Chester.

The screenings that we take over will be:

Dirty Dancing – 7 July
Mamma Mia – 9 July
Dirty Dancing – 20 July
Jurassic Park – 21 August

What you need to know:

This will be an unplugged event that is in a big open field! It will suit performers that can be acoustic, or provide their own battery powered PA, for instance BIG choirs, specialised performances that don’t require sound projection or dance groups with their own boom box! If you’re not sure if it will work for you, that’s ok, pop a note to us on the form and we might be able to find a different space!

Weather!

This is an outdoor event – it may rain, it may be sunny, it may be windy…who knows it may even snow (we certainly hope not). Moonlight Flicks only gets cancelled in very wet and windy conditions (so be prepared for British Summer!) If you have any questions please email our Young Programmers Coordinator Phoebe here: phoebe.orsmond@storyhouse.com

How can I take part? Head here to complete the form.

Guidelines to take part:
You must be aged 14-25
If you are under 18 you must have your parent or carers permission to take part
