Chester Town Hall

The grey and red sandstone, Gothic style Town Hall with its tower and spire rising to a height of 160 feet was completed in 1869. It was opened on 15 October of that year by the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII.

Access

Please be aware that the main entrance to the Town Hall includes a number of steps (with a handrail). There is a lift to the entrance from ground level at Princess Street (a call button will alert the Town Hall attendant, who operates this from inside).

Hearing induction loops are available: please ask a steward to assist you.
Male, female and disabled toilets are available.

Car parking is available at the Market Car Park.

Should I arrive early?

It’s a good idea to arrive at least 15 minutes before start time, to allow plenty of time for you to be shown to your seat.

How does the seating work?

Seating is unallocated – you can sit in any free seat. If you have particular requests with regards to seating, please e-mail info@storyhouse.com or call 01244 409 113
