We put customer safety at the top of everything we do. Face coverings are encouraged, although no longer compulsory.
Coming in and moving around
Distancing. We try to keep everyone 1 metre apart in general and our customers and visitors are asked to do the same.
Security. We have standard bag checks on the door, with a limit of only one small bag or rucksack in the building.
In The Kitchen
The Kitchen at Storyhouse is back open, with a brand new menu – find out and book a table here.
In the theatre and cinema
We know some of you will be enjoying getting back to full theatres and cinema, and some of you will prefer more space and protection. Thankfully, Storyhouse is a supremely safe space and as we have options to open to a wider range of theatre shows and cinema screenings, we’ll be providing something for everyone.
Our theatres have 100% fresh air, none of it is recirculated, and we clean all spaces between shows with antivirals cleaning supplies. Customers should arrive for theatre shows a little earlier than normal, to allow us to sit everyone in an orderly fashion.
Face coverings in theatre and cinema spaces are now encouraged, although no longer compulsory.
Tickets for Storyhouse Original productions and Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre include a £10 non-refundable donation to Storyhouse (registered charity 1121007) in the event of a forced lockdown cancelling any shows. (This will not apply in the event of any non-Covid-related cancellations). This is within the ticket price – you pay the same, but the donation helps us to manage the risk of cancellation due to lockdown. In sharing some of this risk with us, we are able to produce theatre where others cannot, and we thank you for that and your support as ever.
Cleaning the building is currently above and beyond the normal. There are hand sanitisers throughout the building, and compulsory cleaning at certain points.
