We are the Storyhouse Young Programmers, we have been working on our Black History Month 2021 season for the past year. Though our group has grown and changed over time we do believe that our programme reflects the many voices of the members past and present.
We aim to spotlight and amplify the black experience in its many forms. We want to use this programme to celebrate diversity in cinema with films such as The Harder They Fall which is a new blockbuster with an outstanding cast and Rocks which highlights the depth and joy of black British female identity. We hope to have used our voices for representation, focusing on celebration and joy.
