After the success of Storyhouse’s first teachers networking event earlier this year we are excited to be announcing our second networking event. The Storyhouse teachers network gives local educators a space to come together with the Young Storyhouse department to take part in creative conversations and build partnerships between local schools and Storyhouse.

For this event, we will be holding 3 different creative conversations in different spaces around the Storyhouse building in which teachers of all key stages are welcome to come and get involved with based on their curriculum and creative needs!

Our three topics are:

  • Exclusive Introduction to our 2023 spring production of Dr Faustus, including meet the creative team from Fallen Angels Dance Theatre, Storyhouse producer, and writer of the show! This meet and greet is perfect for secondary and FE teachers looking to connect their curriculum with live performance happening here in Chester!
  • SPAG/Creative literacy and Storyhouse’s upcoming Wayword festival – A festival for 3-11 year olds and their grownups that celebrates the power of books and words to ignite the imagination, escape to a new world and learn something new. This conversation will be great for all early years and primary teachers looking to engage creatively within their English curriculum.
  • Careers/Aspirations – Opportunities to learn more about the career/aspirations programmes that are currently running at Storyhouse including school’s career workshops. A great opportunity for those looking to engage with Storyhouse on career based work for those teaching Key stage 4, and into further education.

To confirm your place at this event please email learning@storyhouse.com with the name of your school and who will be attending.

We are looking forward to seeing you all there!
