Blue Lantern Sessions: Robert Vincent

This special gig is part of The Blue Lantern Sessions at Storyhouse — a series of intimate evenings of acoustic music, featuring some of the most talented Roots, World, and Acoustic artists in the current music scene.

Prepare for captivating performances that evoke goosebumps and stir the emotions. The evening begins with Igloo Hearts as hosts, followed by an ‘up and coming’ support artist, before the main headline act takes to the stage.

This month features Liverpool singer/songwriter Robert Vincent who will be joined by special guest Anna Corcoran.

Robert Vincent released his critically acclaimed fourth studio album Barriers in June 2024, spending weeks in the Country Music Charts alongside Beyoncé and Taylor Swift. The album’s success in the Independent Album and Record Store Charts prompted critics to praise Vincent as “one of the UK’s best songwriters irrespective of genre” (Americana UK).

He recently won UK Song of the Year at the UK Americana Awards for Follow What You Love & Love Will Follow and was nominated for UK Artist of the Year. Known for his powerful, soulful voice, Vincent has drawn praise from Bob Harris, Paul Carrack, and Mary Chapin Carpenter. His third LP In This Town You’re Owned (2020) won AMAUK Album of the Year and reached #2 in the UK Americana Charts, with American Songwriter naming it a top 20 album of 2020.

Vincent has performed across the UK and internationally, including AmericanaFest in Nashville, opening for Robert Plant & Saving Grace in Europe, and playing Hyde Park with Roger Waters. Previous accolades include AMAUK’s Emerging Artist (2016), AMAUK Album of the Year (2018), and standout performances at Celtic Connections, Old Grey Whistle Test, and The London Palladium.

2025 is already packed, with AMAUK and Celtic Connections showcases and a solo acoustic tour in Norway.
