Event details

Expect a Jools Holland-style setting, with the best sell-out names from the acoustic scene.

Experience the Blue Lantern Sessions at Storyhouse, an intimate evening of acoustic music featuring top Roots, World, and Acoustic artists.

Inspired by an open mic where they first met (called the Blue Lantern), Welsh duo Igloo Hearts bring this vision back to life, with a unique twist, at The Garret Theatre.

Led by James and Katie MacGregor, (recently featured on the Channel 4 show ‘The Piano’) Igloo Hearts promises an immersive experience akin to a cozy living room atmosphere.

Prepare for captivating performances that evoke goosebumps and stir the emotions.

The evening begins with Igloo Hearts as hosts, followed by an ‘up and coming’ support artist, before the main headline act takes to the stage.

Kathryn Williams (with guest Matt Deighton).

Kathryn Williams is a British singer-songwriter whose work has earned her a Mercury Music Prize nomination. Over the past 27 years, she’s released 17 albums. Her most recent solo record, Night Drives, debuted at #2 in the official UK Folk Album Charts. Her collaborative album with Withered Hand, Willson Williams, was nominated for both the SAY and AMA awards.

Label One Little Independent marked her impressive career with Anthology—a beautifully curated 20-CD, 2-book box set featuring her artwork. Kathryn is also a published author—her debut novel The Ormering Tide received critical acclaim—and she hosts the popular podcast Before the Light Goes Out, named one of The Guardian’s Top Ten music podcasts.

An in-demand songwriting tutor at Arvon and Moniack Mhor, she regularly collaborates with a wide range of artists including Paul Weller, Chris Difford, Ed Harcourt, Beth Nielsen Chapman, and Michele Stodart. She’s also the only woman included in the list of Top Ten Greatest Liverpool Songwriters of all time.

Kathryn’s latest album, MYSTERY PARK, is due for release this autumn.
