Storyhouse Summer Club

Storyhouse Summer Club is a completely free 4-day Summer Club based at Studio by Storyhouse.

The club is for 8-11 year olds who are in receipt of means-tested benefits.
Each day will be filled with drama games and fun activities led by Storyhouse’s Creative Learning Practitioners.

Lunch and a snack will be provided, as well as a trip to Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre to watch The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

When is Storyhouse Summer Club?
Summer Club is from Monday 29 July – Thursday 1 August, 10am – 2pm each day.

Who is eligible?
Children aged 8-11 years whose parents/guardians are in receipt of:
*Income Support
*Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
*Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
*Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
*The guaranteed element of Pension
*Credit Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to *Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
*Working Tax Credit run-on – paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
Universal Credit – (if you apply on or after 1 April 2018 your household income must be less than £7,400 a year)
If your child is aged 7+, they may also receive free school meals.

How do I register my interest for a place?
Please email learning@storyhouse.com to register your interest.
Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis and confirmed after a registration form has been completed. This registration form will be sent to you after you register your interest via email. If you have any access requirements, please include them in your email to learning@storyhouse.com.

Where will it be?
Storyhouse Summer Club will be based at Studio by Storyhouse, Northgate St, Chester CH1 2HQ.
