Acoustic Night, 'The Blue Lantern' Sessions: Seafoam Green
Event details
Expect a Jools Holland-style setting, with the best sell-out names from the acoustic scene.
Experience the Blue Lantern Sessions at Storyhouse, an intimate evening of acoustic music featuring top Roots, World, and Acoustic artists.
Inspired by an open mic where they first met (called the Blue Lantern), Welsh duo Igloo Hearts bring this vision back to life, with a unique twist, at The Garret Theatre.
Led by James and Katie MacGregor, (recently featured on the Channel 4 show The Piano) Igloo Hearts promises an immersive experience akin to a cozy living room atmosphere.
Prepare for captivating performances that evoke goosebumps and stir the emotions.
The evening begins with Igloo Hearts as hosts, followed by an ‘up and coming’ support artist, before the main headline act takes to the stage.
Seafoam Green are an Irish band led by Dave O’Grady and Muireann McDermott Long. The pair specialise in what we now call Americana. If you want blues, gospel, and folk, they’ve got it! Seafoam Green also find room for a dash of Dublinese, just to remind people where they’re coming from.
They’ve recently worked with Rolling Stones legend, Ronnie Wood, and are fresh from their European and US tour. Don’t miss them live at Storyhouse!
“Heavy hitters like Rich Robinson, Derek Trucks, and Tyler Greenwell have all chipped in, and it’s not hard to hear why, for this is thrilling, vital, and soulful music.” – Pat Carty, Hot Press Magazine.
“Gutsy Americana with a heart of gold” – Clash Magazine.
