Finlay's Project: Inspiring Artists
Desire for Change:
More young people to have the opportunity to learn how to play an instrument.
Idea:
Finlay felt he benefited from learning to play the guitar and discovered that there were no guitar tutors in Lache. With Agents Olivia and Joel, Finlay will run guitar workshops in Lache for 8–11-year-olds.
They will then create a legacy for his project by developing a Guitar “Library” for you people in Lache to be able to borrow guitar and guitar music books for a period of time.
Chesters Project: Creative Club
Desire for Change:
Remove the stigma around poor mental health for Children and young people in schools.
Idea:
Chesters will run a series of creative workshops in primary schools in Lache, that supports children to develop coping strategies for good mental health. During these workshops they hope to co-create a performance with the children to raise awareness of the need to remove the stigma. The piece will be performed in Lache and at Storyhouse.
Alice's Project: A Spark of Lache
Desire for change:
Showcase the strengths of the community
Idea:
Alice will set up Meraki production company to co-create a film with the community of Lache that showcases the strengths of the community.
She hopes that members of the community will not only feature in the film but also be involved in the filming and editing. She will also create a celebration event for the film’s first screening in Lache
Nicola's Project: I'm Fluffin' Hungry
Desire for Change:
To reduce the number of stray animals in Lache and help pet owners.
The idea:
Nicola has a love for all animals and was concerned about the number of stray animals in Lache and the problems they can cause. She recognised that during a cost-of-living crisis people struggle to provide for their pets.
Together with Agent Emma and working in partnership with The Larder, she will set up a pet food bank to help families in Lache. She will then develop the idea to include an unwanted pet equipment swap shop, and a pet play items library
