About Youth Theatre
Youth Theatre is an 11 month, fun, creative programme for young people aged 5-17. Through weekly sessions, you will learn performance skills, play games and make theatre in a supportive and safe environment. Members will put all they have learnt into practice by putting on a show on the Storyhouse stage.
Storyhouse youth theatre specialises in drama although we do often explore music and movement in our performances too. Please check out our Youth Theatre Shows page to see what shows we have done in the past.
Who Runs Youth Theatre?
Youth Theatre is run by our fantastic Youth Theatre Directors and Youth Theatre Assistants. All of our Youth Theatre team have experience working with young people in a drama or theatre setting. They are all DBS checked and safeguarding trained and have been trained by Storyhouse to ensure that the Youth Theatre is
delivered to a high standard.
Age Groups:
We run sessions for different age groups throughout the week. You can choose the session that works best for you.
14-17s
Monday 6.15pm-8.15pm
Wednesday 6.45pm-8.45pm
11-13s
Tuesday 6.15pm-8.15pm
Wednesday 4.30pm-6.30pm
8-10s
Monday 4.30pm-6pm
5-7s
Saturday 10.30am-12pm

Fees:
Youth Theatre costs £190 per term; there are 3 terms per year.
Refund Policy:
Payments will be non refundable. If your child would like to stop attending Youth Theatre you can cancel any future payments and they can finish at the end of the term. Although, Youth Theatre is a designed as a year long programme and your child will have the best experience if they participate September-July.
Access fund/Discounted places?
We have a limited number of reduced-price places that are available in cases of genuine hardship for anyone who will struggle to pay for Youth Theatre. Discounted spaces are £100 or £50 per month, or fully funded. Please contact us if you would like to apply for a subsidised place.
