Storyhouse Chester Seeks New Trustees to Join its Board

Storyhouse, Chester’s award winning theatre, cinema, library and community hub is actively recruiting two dynamic individuals to join its Board of Trustees. The Board plays a crucial role in providing governance and leadership, guiding the organization’s strategic direction in alignment with its charitable objectives and legal obligations.

Storyhouse’s Board of Trustees is comprised of individuals from diverse backgrounds, each contributing their unique blend of professional expertise and life experiences to the organisation’s mission.

“We are excited to invite new Trustees to become a part of the board,” said David Watson, Chair, Storyhouse

“We are committed to fostering a rich tapestry of voices on our Board, individuals who share our values and vision and who can bring their varied life experiences and skills to enrich our work. We highly value both lived experiences and professional backgrounds. No prior board experience is required, as we offer comprehensive training and support.”

Given Storyhouse’s extensive programme, which includes home-produced theatre and festivals and an extensive programme of work for young people, the organisation is particularly interested in applications from individuals with expertise or backgrounds in the following areas:

Safeguarding and Mental Health

Arts Programming & Practice

Access and Inclusion

Individuals who are passionate about supporting Storyhouse’s mission and contributing to its continued success are encouraged to apply. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an organisation dedicated to enriching the cultural landscape of Chester and beyond.

Interested candidates can find more information about the role and the application process on Storyhouse’s website https://www.storyhouse.com/jobs/

The deadline for applications is 30 October.

For those interested in learning more about the role of a trustee, Storyhouse will be hosting drop-in sessions on October 21 and 22.
