Community casting call for Henry V and Twelfth Night

Interested in performing in one of this year’s Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre’s Shakespeare productions, celebrating the 10th year of theatre in the park?

Storyhouse is looking to cast 10 men and women aged 18 and over to be part of our community chorus for either Loveday Ingram’s production of Henry V or Julia Thomas’ production of Twelfth Night at Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre.

Throughout the productions the community members will act in many different scenes playing several character from out of control rebels to ruthless politicians to help us tell a timeless story. We are looking for a group of people who are enthusiastic about becoming part of our ensemble from all backgrounds, with or without stage experience. Storyhouse is about bringing people from the Chester community together and we don’t want that to stop at the foot of the stage. We want to fill both stages in door and out with people from Chester.

How to apply

You are welcome to apply to be in both or just one of the productions. Please note that these are unpaid volunteer roles.

Auditions will be through a workshop process lasting 90 mins. The audition workshop will take place on the following date at Northgate Church, Chester on Friday 31 May from 6.30pm to 8pm.
If you’re interested, please contact creative@storyhouse.com for an application form and audition space. Successful applicants will be informed by Sunday 2 June.
