Tell us a bit about yourself?
I hold the position of Service Supervisor at Storyhouse. I started working here when I was 17 years old and have been here for four years now. Last month, I was promoted for the second time, as I held the position of a temporary supervisor last year for Storyhouse’s Moonlight Flicks.
I have been an employee at Storyhouse during my A-Levels and throughout my Archaeology degree, which I recently completed. Since finishing my degree, I’ve been saving my money to go travelling and see the world. This summer, I’m going to Greece and Italy!

What does your role at Storyhouse entail?
As a Supervisor, I run the shift. It is my job to ensure that the shift goes as smoothly as possible, so that the customers and staff have a great experience in Storyhouse. I position staff so that the team can work to the best of their ability. I ensure that staff are aware of activities throughout the building, the tasty cakes that we are selling that day, and prepare the bar and restaurant for a great customer experience. Obviously, I have many other responsibilities as a supervisor, but I won’t bore you with the paper work stuff!

What is your favourite thing about working at Storyhouse?
There are so many things that I love about this place, but I must say that I love meeting so many different people and being able to have some of the most interesting chats. It’s so fun being able to learn so much about different people. Also, having worked at Storyhouse for so long, the staff that have worked alongside me have become so important to me. We have all grown and changed together, it’s been a pleasure working with such an amazing team!

What is your favourite thing on the Storyhouse menu?
I’d be lying if I said that the food wasn’t one of the best perks of working at Storyhouse. I love the menu because it is so good! I’d say the Lebanese Spiced Potatoes and the Tahini Brownie are my favourite items on the menu.
