Storyhouse needs community chorus for Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre!

Community chorus needed for Much Ado About Nothing and The Tempest.

Interested in performing in either of our Shakespeare plays at Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre?

Storyhouse is looking to cast five women aged 17 and over in our community chorus for Alex Clifton’s production of The Tempest and Bill Buckhurst’s production of Much Ado About Nothing to be performed  at Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre.

We’re looking for women who are keen to move and learn a bit of choreography as our chorus for The Tempest and Much Ado About Nothing, who will help us build the atmosphere to support these two very different adventures. The movement will be simple and we’ll develop it together so there’s no need for previous dance experience. We’re interested in meeting people who love a challenge, playing with new ideas and working as part of a team to help bring our worlds to life in the park!

In The Tempest, you will form a chorus of sirens who are the source of The Tempest’s magic, filling our stage with harpies and hounds, spirits and storms. In Much Ado About Nothing you will be the wild party-goers, drunken dancers and the local girl guides who play ‘the Watch’ and help keep the mean streets of Messina safe.

This is a voluntary unpaid role.
