With many of the shows taking place during the school holidays, they offer the perfect family treat to keep your children entertained and their young imaginations engaged.

This February half term, Goofus Theatre present their new show Moonsmile; an enchanting story of a lonely museum caretaker who finds himself on the moon with the strange but loveable Moonlings. Blending music with movement, puppetry and play, this nonverbal performance will immerse audiences in storytelling, creating a space where imaginations can thrive. This endearing story of friendship is best suited to children aged 4+.

In a another show perfect for little ones, Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s beloved Tales from Acorn Wood stories are brought to life on stage for the first time. Packed full of toe-tapping songs, puppetry, and all the friends from Acorn Wood, this beautiful show is the ideal family experience this Easter!
Also coming to Storyhouse this Easter holiday is The Dancing Elephant. Experience a stunning blend of both real and virtual environments, as we join Mahi who’s transported into a video game, by magical Moon, Chand. Mahi lands at the Elephant Festival of Jaipur and meets her companion and guide, The Dancing Elephant. This delightful show is best suited to children aged 6+.

Squidge is a fun interactive dance film with music and digital projection, which takes a light-hearted look at our sense of touch and how it influences our everyday lives. At the heart of the film is a tale of friendship, compromise and how each and every one of us need touch to make us feel alive. This immersive show is full of exciting textures for little hands which will delight and tickle your senses. Expect slimly fun and lots of bubbles…

Slightly older children (aged 7+) will enjoy Tin Man this Easter, a magical retelling of a classic story. This stunning dance production explores a re-imagined story of the much-loved Tin Man’s encounters with the Witch in the deep dark wood, and the new friendships he forms with a Scarecrow and a Lion along the way!

In the summer holidays, Hey Duggee: The Live Theatre Show comes to the Storyhouse stage on their first ever tour! Be part of the hit CBeebies show and join Duggee and the Squirrels, and plenty of your other favourite characters, in this new vibrant interactive production bursting with music, puppets and barrels of laughs along the way!
