Storyhouse and Claremont Farm have announced a brand-new partnership as Moonlight Flicks open-air cinema will take over the Wirral attraction for two autumnal weekends of film favourites.
Between Friday 9 October – Sunday 11 October, and Friday 16 – Sunday 18 October, Moonlight Flicks at Claremont Farm will offer film fans a socially distanced movie experience in a unique rural setting.
The programme includes big screen favourites The Greatest Showman, Knives Out and Jurassic Park, as well as family classics Coco and Fantastic Mr Fox.
Using Storyhouse’s enormous 30ft Airscreen, film fans are encouraged to wrap up warm and enjoy the movie experience, amongst the picturesque Wirral countryside.
Each event will feature a bar and street food offering, plus fire-pits and live musicians for a cosy autumnal evening under the stars.
Nicky Beaumont, Film and Digital Programme Manager at Storyhouse, said:
“This will be a rare treat for film fans and for people who want to get outdoors and experience autumn in the gorgeous setting of Claremont Farm. Wrap up in warm coats and wellies and watch a film beneath an autumn starry sky. Bliss!’”
Andrew Pimbley Managing Director at Claremont Farm said:
“We are so pleased to be bringing outdoor cinema to Claremont Farm and are delighted at the opportunity to work with Storyhouse – another innovative local arts organisation working hard to bring a sense of enjoyment into communities despite all the current challenges. We hope that people will come out to support this new venture and enjoy a magical autumnal evening on the farm.”
Tickets from £12.50, Storyhouse Members get 10% off. Films will be screened from 7pm on Fridays and 6.30pm on Saturdays and Sundays, gates open one hour before the film.
Free car parking on site. There will be a range of hot and cold food available to buy and eat during the screening.
