Storyhouse needs trainee actors for the summer!

Please note: the deadline for applications has now passed. Stay tuned for more opportunities!

Trainee Actors at Storyhouse

Storyhouse is proud to support local performers and emerging talent in Cheshire. We want to create meaningful opportunities for local performers to move into a career in the arts. We are now recruiting trainee actors aged 17 to 26 to work in our professional acting ensemble this summer.

Performers will take roles in two of this summer’s Made By Storyhouse productions; The Crucible by Arthur Miller and Stephen Sondheim’s Tony award-winning musical comedy, A Little Night Music.  The performers will be paid trainees and receive mentoring and support from our team throughout their contract.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for two performers. Both actors will need to be female, and onstage they will play children aged 12-16.

One will need to be able to sing beautifully – to play this role, the actor will be asked to sing a solo in A Little Night Music and sing throughout the show with the company. The other performer will not need to sing but will need a good level of physicality/dance. Both will be speaking roles.

This brilliant opportunity requires committed and passionate young actors, with stamina and real talent.

Storyhouse is an equal opportunities employer. We welcome all applications from people within the community and we would particularly welcome applications from BAME and disabled applicants. All castings will be made on merit.
