Event details

Bugfest, the UK’s leading and multi-award winning entomology experience provider will be bringing their collection of amazing creepy crawlies from around the world.

Join us on the 8th of November for a thrilling handling session, where you will get to see a variety of insects and bugs up close and personal. Nathan Brookes-Bennett, Bugfest’s popular presenter in the North of the UK will be introducing you to his private collection of stick insects, cockroaches, millipedes, taratnulas and so much more.

Nathan has spent more than a decade working as a zookeeper and animal educator, caring for everything from tarantulas and meerkats to sharks and birds of prey. He is a member of the Association of British & Irish Wild Animal Keepers as well as the European Crocodilian Network. With a degree in Animal Management and years of experience bringing wildlife encounters to life, Nathan knows how to turn fascinating facts into unforgettable stories.

At Bugfest, he blends his knowledge, humour, and love of adventure to give people the chance to see the natural world through a zookeeper’s eyes.
