Showcasing a stunning ensemble of over 20 world-class dancers from Acosta Danza, Carlos Acosta’s acclaimed Havana-based company, this Nutcracker keeps the heart of the classic tale: a young girl swept into a wondrous world, while infusing it with the rich culture, rhythms and history of Cuba.
A global dance legend with a 17-year career at The Royal Ballet and celebrated choreographer of Carmen and Don Quixote, Carlos Acosta now brings his signature creative spark to a story perfectly poised for reinvention. Expect breathtaking choreography, irresistible energy and a Nutcracker unlike anything you’ve seen before.
NUTCRACKER IN HAVANA is choreographed by Carlos Acosta, with video projection, set design and mapping by Nina Dunn, costume design by Angelo Alberto, compositions and arrangements by Pepe Gavilondo Peón and lighting design by Andrew Exeter.
