Chris Fozzard: Old News-Tragedy and Comedy in the Early Chester Press

Event details

We’re delighted to welcome back local historian and writer, Chris Fozzard, after his popular talk last year based on his last published work The Chester Book Club, 1824.

His new talk reaches further back into the mists of time, starting in the mid-18th century, when newspapers were in their infancy. Come along to hear a wealth of fascinating stories from that era featuring ordinary people involved in extraordinary and, at times, bizarre events.

Signed copies of Chris’s books will be available to buy.
