Copa 71 tells the story of the forgotten 1971 Women’s World Cup – which took place in Mexico in front of crowds of 100,000 people. Women’s football is the fastest growing sport in Europe and this film fills in a huge gap in the sport’s history – and gives us a chance to celebrate some of the unsung heroes and pioneers of the women’s game.
