Exhibition: Urban Light by Streetscapes North West

Light is everywhere on the street but when combined with a camera, that’s when the magic happens, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary.
For the Urban Light exhibition, each street photographer explored how light interacts within urban spaces, whether it be by strong shadows, reflections, neon night lights, silhouettes and so forth. Each image whether it be candid or a posed portrait, tells its own story of how light can change and move revealing how the familiar can be turned into something remarkable.
The exhibition is intended to showcase how the light takes centre stage for each photographer’s visual storytelling.
Who are we?
Streetscapes North West are a small group of passionate street photographers who enjoy capturing fleeting moments of every day life on the streets.
We are an active group who meet regularly to photograph different areas of the north west. We swap thoughts, information and explore the art of storytelling through the lens.
To showcase our skills, we exhibit our work at various venues across the north west with some photographers producing books and zines.
