Giulio Regeni: All the Evil in the World

Directed By Simone Manetti
Starring Alessandra Ballerini, Paola Deffendi, Claudio Regeni

‘Giulio Regeni Tutto il male del mondo’ recounts the events related to the death of Giulio Regeni, kidnapped, tortured and killed in Egypt, with the reconstruction of his family and lawyer Alessandra Ballerini.

Giulio Regeni was a 28-year-old Italian researcher conducting sensitive fieldwork on Egyptian independent unions in Cairo for the University of Cambridge. In a country under military dictatorship, his research placed him at serious risk. On January 25, 2016, the anniversary of the Tahrir Square Revolution, Giulio disappeared, triggering an international outcry and a long search for truth led by his family.
