Half Term Museum Pop Up

Event details

Grosvenor Museum and The Cathedral are bringing a museum pop up with free hands on craft and interactive activities to Storyhouse Kitchen this half term.

Grosvenor Museum:

To celebrate the launch of their latest exhibitions, “Chester Amphitheatre: An 8000 year story” and “The Amphitheatre Owl: A 16th Century Curiosity”, a curator from the Grosvenor museum will be on hand for you to explore real artefacts from the Grosvenor museum and answer all of your burning questions.

Fancy getting hands on? You can try your hands and their archaeology dig experience and see what treasures from the past you can uncover.

Plus, grab a Chester Adventure Scavenger Hunt and take yourself on a city wide trail of discovery to win yourself a prize.

Chester Cathedral:

Did you know the moon has landed in Chester? That’s right, Chester Cathedral is currently host to a 6 metre in diameter moon which features 120dpi detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface. At an approximate scale of 1:500,000, each centimetre of the internally lit spherical sculpture represents 5km of the moon’s surface.

Join us at Storyhouse Kitchen for some space themed craft activities.
