Join Paul Wilshaw (MC, Podcaster and Performer) in a fun and relaxed workshop supporting Learning Disabled, Disabled and/or Neurodiverse people to find their voice and have the confidence to be heard, through theatre based activities and games.
Come along and enjoy finding your voice and sharing with the group the things that matter to you.
Paul is a freelance Poet, Performer, Presenter and Disability Advocate with 30 years experience working in the creative industry. Before turning freelance Paul worked for Mind the Gap – one of the UK’s leading learning disability theatre companies – for 12 years as an Assistant Producer and Engagement and Advocacy Worker. Paul also regularly works with Triple C, advising TV productions around access and inclusion and sitting on their Learning Disability Advisory Group. He also works with University Courses such as Clinical Psychology to inform and model accessible practise.
Paul was also the first artist in residence at the Our Stomping Ground Festival at ARC Stockton and the Ramps on the Moon Agent for Change at Leeds Playhouse.
Paul has mild to moderate learning disabilities and cerebral palsy and that lived experience isn’t just his story, it’s the foundation of everything he does professionally.
