Event details

DanceSyndrome is a professional dance company from Lancashire.

Some of DanceSyndrome’s performers have learning disabilities.

They are visiting Storyhouse for the first time to perform a show called SENse.

The show was created by DanceSyndrome’s dancers all working together to share their ideas.

In the show you will see professional dancers move across the stage, you will also hear music and the dancers will use props.

The show will be very visually interesting.

In a Big Brother world where it’s easy to feel as though we are constantly being watched. Are we ever truly seen?

Combining contemporary dance, and storytelling, SENse explores humanity’s need to be seen, felt and heard and is co-produced and co-choreographed by dancers with learning disabilities working in collaboration with professional Dance Artists, in line with DanceSyndrome’s unique co-delivery model.

The piece doesn’t follow a linear narrative, and each episodic piece within the show explores the concept in a different way, developed from individual dancers’ own connections to the theme.
