Event details

Film Hub North’s short film showcase, Northern Exposure, brings the best short films from the region to venues and festivals across the North of England.

All of the featured films have been selected by a group of young Northern film curators who have scoured the region to uncover stories that resonate with them and champion emerging local filmmakers. Expect a bold mix of fact and fiction, animation and live action – and everything in between.

Film Hub North Talent Producer Nora Murphy will be attendance with filmmakers Almir Dattoo (Into the Blue Again) and Sarah Mason (Pegs & Bacon) for a post-screening Q&A.

Northern Exposure is delivered by Film Hub North as part of BFI Film Academy. BFI Film Academy offers opportunities for ambitious 16-25 year olds, anywhere in the UK, to get to know more about film and how to forge a career in the screen industries.

This event is supported by BFI Film Academy, awarding National Lottery funding.
