Nouvelle Vague is the story of Godard making ”Breathless”, told in the style and spirit in which Godard made “Breathless”. Richard Linklater’s joyful homage to the French New Wave and a must see for any cinephile.

The screening at 5pm on February 14 will be introduced by Isabelle Vanderschelden.

Isabelle Vanderschelden lectured for many years in the department of Languages at Manchester Metropolitan University. Her research areas are French cinema and translation. She has published extensively on the French film industry, screenwriting, auteurism and popular films.
