Our Freedom: Manifesto and Exhibition Launch

Event details

What does freedom mean to you?
What does freedom look like?
Who is freedom for?

Winsford residents of all ages and backgrounds have been exploring what freedom means to them. In collaboration with Storyhouse, writer Lekhani Chirwa has worked with community groups and schools to find the answers to these questions and combine the diverse voices and experiences of the community to create a manifesto for freedom unique and personal to Winsford.

Young photographers have developed their creative skills reflecting on freedom and the future, curating an exhibition of eye-catching and thought-provoking images.

Art in the Place have created banners as a lasting visual representation of the manifesto and all of the ideas, voices, stories and experiences that have been woven together to create it.

Head along to Winsford Library to view the photos, hear the manifesto, see the banners, and celebrate Winsford and all who have taken part in the project.
