Teenager Kat Stratford (Julia Stiles) is pretty, smart and notoriously abrasive. Unfortunately for her younger sister Bianca, house rules dictate that she can’t date until Kat does. Desperate to win Bianca’s affections, newcomer Cameron devises a plan to set Kat up with the handsome but rebellious Patrick Verona (Heath Ledger), whose bad-boy reputation rivals her own.

Adapted from William Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew, this beloved 1999 coming-of-age comedy remains a teen movie classic and was one of the most popular picks in our recent University of Chester Freshers Film Poll.
