A loosely autobiographical story from Carla Simon (Summer 1993, Alcarràs). Marina, an eighteen-year-old girl arrives in the Galician coastal town of Vigo to find out about her late father and obtain a copy of his death certificate she needs for her college scholarship. As she meets her estranged relatives she discovers secrets from her father’s past. 

This film will be introduced by Anna Clayfield Senior Lecturer in Spanish and Latin American Studies at the University of Chester.
