Storyhouse Spoken Word Open Mic Night

We are excited to be bringing together a vibrant mix of spoken word and live literature from a talented bill of open mic acts from the local area in a new regular event at Storyhouse Garret Theatre.
We are looking for poetry, prose, flash-fiction and creative non-fiction and everything in between to join our open mic on 3rd June 2026 in a welcoming community that gladly welcomes all, from newcomers to bestsellers.
If you are interested in being part of the open mic, with a five-minute slot to read or perform any type of writing, email a copy of the work you wish to perform to: programming@storyhouse.com
Your host for the evening will be Natasha Borton.
Natasha is a poet, musician and theatre-maker based in Wrexham, North Wales. She is inspired by the shared stories of our communities She is the Writer-in-Residence for the River Dee through Literature Wales’ & WWF Cymru Llên mewn Lle | Lit in Place programme. Natasha is the Artistic Director of Voicebox Wxm, she co-winner of the Coracle Europe Fringe Slam and 2nd Award winner with Poetry Wales Award. She has performed her work across the UK.
