This event is part of Storyhouse Women Weekend

Prepare for a night of laughter and insightful poetry with award-winning writer and performer Molly Naylor, known for her work on Lights! Planets! People! and Sky One’s After Hours and Kate McCabe, whose been gigging on this side of the Atlantic for several years after starting her comedy career in NYC.

Molly will perform pieces from her three poetry collections, exploring themes of connection, ambition, altruism, and the art of embracing our perfectly average selves.

Kate performs with improv troupe ComedySportz Manchester and regularly appears on Fab Radio’s The Gay Agenda and on Gaydio’s The Exchange.

This engaging show will feature special guests and highlight performances from participants of the earlier workshop, Spoken Word & Comedy with Molly Naylor.

Expect an evening filled with clever wit, heartfelt observations, and a touch of irreverent humour that is sure to leave you both entertained and contemplative.

As described by The Guardian, Molly’s work is “brave, funny, tough, and beautiful writing.” Sara Pascoe adds, “Molly makes me laugh, and her poetry makes my heart grow plumper and more confident. I love her words and her honesty.” Don’t miss this opportunity to experience Molly Naylor’s unique blend of comedy and poetry in the intimate setting of Garret Theatre.
