Storyhouse Women X Tomorrow's Women

Event details

An exhibition of work created by a group from Tomorrow’s Women

A group at Tomorrow’s Women Chester have been meeting and making with creative facilitator Claire Henderson around the theme of ‘Finding Myself’ in the lead up to Storyhouse Women 2026.

Through consultation, the group expressed wanting to build confidence, explore their creative skills and portray important messages around self esteem as part of International Women’s Day.

The artwork in this exhibition have been both made collectively with Claire Henderson, using the practice of craftivism – combining handmade textile crafts with important messages around justice and equality.

As well their independently made works over the years in a professional capacity, as a way of counting daily wins during illness or writing about their journey.

Finding Myself is a project in partnership with Tomorrow’s Women and Storyhouse, creative facilitation by Claire Henderson

Tomorrow’s Women Chester opened in February 2023 and is the second centre of Tomorrow’s Women. They offer support for women aged 18+ with a range of issues including mental health, substance misuse, confidence & self-esteem, money, exercise, and social isolation.
