Event details
Booking opens Saturday 18 July at 11am.
Limited Spaces Available
Get ready for an epic songwriting adventure where children will venture deep into the jungle. They’ll meet a host of animals gearing up for the big Jungle Jam! Through fun puzzles and creative challenges, kids will develop their songwriting skills and create a song to be performed live at the event!
Explore Learning are proud sponsors of The Summer Reading Challenge Library Zone for 2026 and are delighted to be able to offer this FREE workshop centred around this year’s Summer Reading Challenge theme, ‘Read to the Beat’.
This song-writing workshop has been designed by Explore Learning’s expert curriculum developers for children aged 5-11. Explore Learning tutors will coach children to develop their story-writing skills through a series of challenges and puzzles. By the end of the hour they will have created a magical story for a young book bee who needed their own unique story.
This workshop is suitable for all 5-11 year olds whether writing comes easily or not. The team will coach your child to use their imagination, overcome challenges and get excited about song-telling!
This is a free event for children who are signed up to The Summer Reading Challenge, so please bring your child’s library card with you. Tickets are free but must be booked in advance for each child attending. Adults do not need a ticket, but all children must be accompanied by an adult.
