The Montagues: Unplugged

An intimate evening of live music with North Wales alternative rock band The Montagues, performing their songs like you’ve never heard them before.

Hailing from the North Wales coast, The Montagues are a five-piece alternative rock band known for their soaring melodies, powerful guitars and emotionally charged live performances. With a growing catalogue of music, including their 2024 EP Verona and recent singles Nobody Dies for a Lie and April 25, the band continue to develop their sound while building a loyal following across North Wales and the North West.

Following the success of their first intimate unplugged performance in a 16th-century crypt in Chester, The Montagues return to the city with something even more ambitious.

Taking over the Garret Theatre at Storyhouse, the band will strip back and reimagine their music for a unique, fully seated performance in one of Chester’s most intimate live spaces.

Expect familiar songs in a completely different light, carefully reworked arrangements, atmospheric moments and a few surprises along the way.

Building on the atmosphere of their original crypt performance, this promises to be a special evening that brings the audience closer to the music and the stories behind it.
