Visions of Peace
Event details
In a world often marked by conflict and change, ‘Visions of Peace’ art exhibition invites viewers to explore the many faces of tranquility, unity, and hope. This group exhibition organised by Place for the Arts in Chester CIC in collaboration with Storyhouse brings together local artists working in a diverse range of mediums — from painting to photography, digital art, and mixed media — each offering a unique interpretation of what peace means today.
Through personal reflection and cultural insight, the artists illuminate peace not only as the absence of conflict, but as a presence of connection, healing, harmony with nature, and inner stillness. Whether abstract or representational, bold or subtle, each work speaks to the universal longing for calm and coexistence.
Visions of Peace is a celebration of artistic dialogue and community, reminding us that in creativity, we can all find common ground.
The exhibiting artists include Kevin Adams, Paul Bedford, Susan Farrington, Mark Edmonds, Jackie Hallmark, Frank Minghella, Stuart Mortimer, John Jackson Nichols, Gillian Robertson, Bryn Sutcliffe, Liz Taylor, Anastasia Tilston, Brigitte Watkinson, S.R. Walsh, Porcelina
The exhibition will run from 30 July until 27 August.
