Almodóvar’s tragi-comedy in which a mother (Penélope Cruz) returns from the dead to fix the things she couldn’t whilst alive.

With trash-TV vibes and plenty of heightened emotion, Volver is a classic Almodóvarian melodrama.

This screening will be introduced by Dr Anna Clayfield, Senior Lecturer in Spanish & Latin American Studios at the University of Chester.
