Event details

Come along to be inspired and entertained by Professor Peter Cox, retired professor of sociology at the University of Chester, as he shares his thoughts on the importance of Active Travel with Oliver Hill, Storyhouse’s Director of Operations and cycling enthusiast.

Peter Cox’s extensive research has focused on cycling mobilities, crossing disciplines from sociology to post-development studies, connecting both cultural and political perspectives and led to work with organizations ranging from local activists to intergovernmental agencies. “My current project explores how practical experiences of cycling and other forms of active travel can build values and sensitivities required for rethinking citizenship at a time when humans are having such a substantial impact on our planet.”
