World Walking Adventures

Author and journalist Tom Parfitt and creator of ITV’s Coast to Coast Mike Parker will come together to discuss their respective 1,000-mile hikes.  

Tom’s memoir High Caucasus: A Mountain Quest in Russia’s Haunted Hinterland, discusses his walking adventures between the Black Sea and the Caspian, to lay to rest a ghost after witnessing the carnage of the Beslan school siege in 2004. 

Whilst Mike Parker’s new book All the Wide Border: Wales, England and the Places Between is the story of the Wales-England border – ‘as a line on the map, an ongoing history, a thing in our heads and as something that roared so unexpectedly into focus in the pandemic’.
