A group for adults passionate about writing, be it epic fantasy, novels or short stories.

Writers of all abilities and levels of experience get together once a month in the meeting room at Storyhouse.

Monthly meetings involve short, timed writing exercises, utilising everyday objects, various themes and even musical prompts to put words down on paper and keep writer’s block at bay. We all work together to learn and motivate.

Last year the group self published a first anthology of short pieces. A sequel is currently in the works and due for release later in 2026.

Due to limited space, the group is currently at capacity, but a digital board has been set up to facilitate anyone who would like to share their work, obtain feedback or discuss their writing journey.
