Curtis Jobling is an author, illustrator and creator of television shows for children of all ages. The original designer of BAFTA-winning Bob the Builder, and creator of hit animated BBC shows Frankenstein’s Cat and Raa Raa the Noisy Lion, Curtis also writes for older audiences. His Wereworld series of novels have sold a million copies worldwide, with the first book, Rise of the Wolf, having been shortlisted for the Waterstones’ Book Prize. This epic fantasy horror series has been adapted into a major new Netflix show, Wolf King, which has been viewed by millions globally.  

His new novel for children, Wyrdwood - a middle-grade folk horror set on the Isle of Man –will be published this autumn. With a talk that covers all of his work in film, TV and publishing, Curtis will showcase his characters from the small screen with animation and live illustration, before introducing audiences to the thrills and perils of the haunted Wyrdwood. This lively and interactive talk will culminate with a chilling reading from the novel. Perfect for Halloween!
