Zine Workshop

Books and Reading

Event details

Join the library team to make an eight-page folded zine, with guidance and all materials provided.

In this relaxed workshop, children can write, draw, colour, and create a story about something important to them for National Year of Reading. No special artistic skills necessary, only enthusiasm!

What is a zine?
Zines (pronounced ‘zeens’, short for ‘magazines’) are self-published booklets filled with writing and art. Anyone can make and share a zine, so they have a long history of use by artists, writers, and activists.

Suitable for children aged 5-11.

Tickets are free but must be booked in advance for each child attending. Adults do not need a ticket, but all children must be accompanied by an adult.
