Storyhouse Childless: Ageing Without Children

Event details

Jody Day is one of the leading voices in the global childless community, founder of @gatewaywomen, author of Living the Life Unexpected,  psychotherapist, and ambassador for @worldchildlessweek.  Jody has been part of Storyhouse Childless since our inaugural year in 2019, and  she’s  shared her insights and wisdom on so many crucial topics, and whenever she mentions ‘alterkin’, it’s grabbed people’s attention.

As Jody says, “Alterkin is a word I created when I was part of Aging Without Children (AWOC), and it’s shorthand for ‘Alternative Kinship Circle’. It’s not a new concept—marginalized communities have always done this …  creating chosen families forever.”

If you’d like to get up to speed on alterkin, here’s a link to one of Jody’s  Substack here , where she explains all.

Join Jody in conversation with Jane Duncan Rogers, an award-winning life and death coach who helps people prepare well for a good end of life, where they will discuss why is ageing without children and huge concern? What sort of projects are already happening in the world with more on the Alterkin concept rom Jody plus time for Q&A.
