Young Leaders 18-25

We are now looking for new young people to join Young Leaders 18-25 in 2021!

Is Young Leaders for you (or someone you know)?

Young Leaders is specifically for young people who may need extra support in gaining skills, connect with others, discover their passion and gain work skills – including young people who are home-schooled, on EHC plans, in care or have left care, in the foster system, are a young carer, or similar.

If this doesn’t sound like you, another Young Storyhouse group might be for you!

Interested in getting involved with the theatre? Head to Young Company 14-16.
Love reading and talking about books? Head to Young Readers.

What do Young Leaders do?

Young Leaders is a group with weekly sessions (currently online). You will receive mentoring, training and practical opportunities as well as exploring all of the different roles and teams at Storyhouse, to find your passion. You will get to work on a group challenge while developing your skills and building your confidence. All Young Leaders will also complete an Arts Award. Find out more details about how Young Leaders works here.

When do they meet?

The Young Leaders programme lasts around 4 to 5 months. This group meet on a weekday evening between 2pm – 5pm.

What about the lockdown?

This programme will be on Zoom throughout the current lockdown. When lockdown restrictions ease, we aim to meet in person if possible. All Young Leaders will be consulted and considered when moving from virtual sessions to in the building, and even if we start to have these groups in person at Storyhouse, anyone who prefers to remain at home can still Zoom in.

Who can sign up?

If you know a young person who would benefit, you can refer them here, or (if you are one!) you can let us know you’re interested by filling out the form below. Someone from Young Storyhouse will be in touch.
